American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) Program
The American Dream Downpayment Initiative ("ADDI") provides downpayment and closing cost assistance to families earning up to 80% of the area median income who are first-time homebuyers (or have not owned a home in the last 3 years) for the purchase of single-family housing that will serve as the family's principal residence. The ADDI program is a 5-year forgivable loan at 0% interest of up to $10,000 for downpayment and/or closing costs. Most will not exceed $5,000.

Maryland Mortgage Program Offers Low Fixed Interest Rates,
In addition to lowering the state Community Development Administration (CDA) mortgage interest rate, $100 million of federal assistance bond money is being set aside for 4.5% mortgage loans in Prince George's County and nine other Maryland counties that will be impacted by the federal Base Realignment and Closing act (BRAC). Our neighbors Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery are also included. It is estimated that this set aside can be used for approximately 625 mortgages.

Minimum credit score for FHA loans has moved to 640
The minimum score on VA loans is still 620.
For now, a large down-payment (20% or more), you may still be able to get conventional financing with a 620 score.
